Account setup
Create an account and save your login details
Start on the account creation page in the Y9VPN dashboard. No email address is required; create your account with a username and password. Choose a username you’ll recognize and a password you don’t use on other sites. Before submitting, check that all fields are complete, and watch for input-method errors, capitalization, or extra spaces that could make signing in difficult later.
When you’re done, follow the on-screen instructions to open your account. If you’re taken back to the sign-in page, use the username and password you saved. Signing in doesn’t activate a plan: your account stores orders and subscriptions, while your plan determines the data available. Make sure the dashboard opens normally before choosing a plan.
Consider saving your account details in a password manager you trust. Since account creation doesn’t require an email address, don’t assume you can reset your password by email, and don’t ask someone else to set your password for you. When you switch devices, sign in to the dashboard with the same account; you don’t need a separate account for each client.
First Month FreePlans and orders
Choose a plan that fits your usage
Open the Plans page in the dashboard and compare monthly subscriptions with data plans. Monthly subscriptions suit regular use: ¥9.9/month includes 60GB, ¥18/month includes 250GB, and ¥28/month includes 500GB. Data allowances reset monthly on the day you activate the plan, not on the first day of the calendar month. Check the billing cycle shown in your dashboard after activation.
If your usage varies, compare the data plans: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. Data doesn’t expire and is available until used. Think about whether you mainly browse, transfer files, or stream video, then choose the billing option that fits. Monthly reset rules don’t apply to data plans.
After choosing a plan, review the order details, including the plan name, price, data allowance, and billing terms. Complete payment as instructed in the dashboard using Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT. Then return to the dashboard to check the order status. Don’t assume activation is complete just because the payment page has closed. If the status hasn’t updated, check your existing order before placing another.
All plans support unlimited simultaneous devices and come with a 60-day no-questions-asked refund guarantee. If you upgrade a monthly subscription mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into remaining days; check the dashboard for the details. To compare plans, see plan prices and data allowances. For refund requests or order status questions, visit the Help Center rather than handling billing issues while importing your subscription.
Choose this planGetting your subscription
Get your subscription from the dashboard
Once your order is active, open the account overview in the dashboard and find the subscription section. A subscription gives your client access to available routes and configurations; it isn’t your website password or an installer. Check whether the dashboard offers an import option for the client you plan to use. If it does, follow the prompt to open the client and confirm the import there.
If the import option doesn’t open the app, make sure the client is installed, then copy the subscription link and add it manually from the client’s subscription or configuration settings. Use the dashboard’s copy option instead of copying the link from a screenshot, and don’t remove anything from the end of the address. After pasting it, check that the beginning and end are intact, and remove any extra spaces or line breaks.
Your subscription link may contain information that grants access to your account, so protect it like a password. Don’t post the full link in public forums, article comments, or screenshots. When troubleshooting, share only the error message and what you did. If you think the link has been exposed, check whether the dashboard lets you reset it, then update your devices as instructed. Don’t share the old link again.
After import, the client usually shows a configuration name and a list of routes. Some clients also require you to refresh the subscription or select the configuration you just added. Check that routes appear in the list before continuing. If the list is empty, the format is invalid, or the update fails, check that the subscription format matches your client. Don’t paste links in different formats into the same field one after another.

Import the configuration on your device
First, choose your device platform on the client download page in the dashboard. You can sign in to download clients for Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux without purchasing a plan, but you’ll need an active plan to use a subscription. The iOS download option requires a purchased plan that hasn’t expired; follow the instructions in the dashboard.
Windows: Add a remote subscription
Download a desktop client for Windows, follow the installer, and launch the app. In the sidebar or settings, look for a page called something like “Configuration” or “Subscription,” then find an option such as “Add,” “Import link,” or “Import from clipboard.” If the dashboard can open the client directly, you can use its import option from the account overview and then check that the new configuration appears in the app.
To add it manually, paste the copied subscription link into the remote URL field. Give it a name that’s easy to recognize, then save and refresh the configuration. Select it once the route list appears, then turn on the system proxy or connection switch in the client. Importing a configuration alone doesn’t mean your browser traffic is using it. If your system asks for network permission, check that the prompt refers to the app you just installed before proceeding.
macOS: Import a subscription and grant system permissions
Choose the macOS client from the dashboard’s download page, then install and open it as instructed. Go to the app’s configuration or subscription settings and add the remote configuration using the link. Save and refresh the subscription, then confirm that the routes have loaded. If you use the dashboard’s import option, watch for a browser prompt to open the app, confirm it, and check the result in the client.
The first time you connect, macOS may ask you to allow network configuration or a related system component. Approve only the request associated with your client; don’t change unrelated security settings. If you dismiss the prompt, check the app’s network permissions in System Settings and try again. Installation, subscription import, and permissions are separate steps, so check each in order. For detailed walkthroughs, see Mac setup and permissions for beginners.
Android: Add a link in subscription settings
Download the Android client from the dashboard and install it, then open its configuration or subscription page. If you see options to scan a code or import a link, choose link import, paste the address copied from the dashboard, and save it. Refresh the configuration, check that the route list expands, then select the route you want to use.
When you connect, Android displays a system VPN connection request. Check that the app name matches your client before allowing it, then check the connection status in the app. If the connection often drops when you switch to another app, review the device’s battery and background activity settings for the client and adjust them as needed. Don’t run multiple apps that take control of the same network connection at once, as their connection settings may conflict.
iOS: Get the client and allow network configuration
On your iPhone or iPad, sign in to the dashboard and open the iOS option on the download page. If you have a purchased plan that hasn’t expired, follow the instructions to get the Y9VPN client. If the dashboard says you need an active plan, check your plan and order status before continuing. Don’t look for an alternative installer on an unfamiliar site.
After installing the app, use the dashboard’s import option or add the link from the client’s subscription or configuration settings. Save and refresh, then choose a configuration and route and connect. When iOS asks to add a VPN configuration, check that it matches the action you just took, allow it, and follow the system prompts to authorize your device. For a screen-by-screen walkthrough, see iPhone setup from scratch, then return here to check your connection.
Connection check
Turn on the connection and make sure it works
Return to the client, make sure the subscription you just imported is active, select a route, and turn on the connection. For your first try, consider the region required by the service you want to use and start with a route in that region. The closest route isn’t always the best fit, and labels like dedicated, relay, or direct don’t guarantee a particular experience. Connect and test the service before changing multiple settings; it’s easier to identify the cause of a problem that way.
Check the client status separately from whether the service works. The client should show that it’s connected or running, and your system may display a VPN or proxy indicator. Then open a browser, visit the site you want to use, and try an actual task, such as loading a page, sending a request, or playing media. A lit connection switch alone doesn’t mean every app is using the route.
If regular websites load but a particular service still shows an error, read its message and check your account eligibility, regional rules, or the service’s status. A route connection and service authorization are separate issues, and switching routes may not resolve an account restriction. Check streaming and AI tool availability after connecting rather than assuming that access to other sites means every tool or regional catalog will work.
If none of your target pages load, retrace the steps in order: confirm the subscription updated, the right configuration is selected, your plan is active, system permissions are granted, and no other app is controlling the network. To try another route, change only the route and leave other settings as they are. If the problem persists, visit the Help Center for connection troubleshooting or open a ticket in the dashboard. Include your platform, the client’s error message, and the steps you’ve tried, but never share your password or full subscription link.
Once connected, note the regions and route names that work well with the services you use. You can keep using the same configuration. To switch devices, repeat the steps to get a client, import your subscription, and check the connection. Unlimited devices can be connected at the same time. When you’re done, turn off the client and check that your system’s network status has returned to normal. Before connecting next time, check whether the subscription needs refreshing.
